Mr. Gourgues joined Brown & Brown of Texas, Inc. as an Assistant Vice President & Account Executive, after the agency in which he was a principal; United Employers Insurance Agency, Inc., was acquired by our company in 2007.

While at United Employers Insurance Agency, Inc., Mr. Gourgues spent more than 15 years developing deep insurance knowledge and experience in the energy, contracting, construction, manufacturing and service industries. During his tenure, he was responsible for all facets of the company’s commercial account sales, marketing and after the sale service delivery. Mr. Gourgues’ strength is in educating himself about his customers’ specific business operations so that the appropriate coverage and most affordable insurance program can be developed.

Mr. Gourgues is a graduate of Louisiana State University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Business. He completed two years worth of course work in 5 comprehensive insurance coverage sections to earn his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) professional designation in 1997. Mr. Gourgues is currently pursuing his CRM (Certified Risk Manager) professional designation. He has been a licensed commercial and personal (Property / Casualty) and group employee benefits and individual (Life / Health) broker since 1992.
