Mr. Miraglia began his insurance career in 1961 as a group insurance representative with CIGNA in Baltimore, Maryland and after several promotions and relocations with the company became manager of their Houston, Texas office in 1975. In 1981, he joined Frank B. Hall as vice president and manager of their Employee Benefits operations in Texas and served in this position for the next 13 years until the company was acquired by Aon Corp., a large national broker.

In 1994, Mr. Miraglia left Aon to form his own group benefits brokerage firm, Health Insurance Specialists, which he later sold to Brown & Brown and joined our company as vice president and sales executive in 2007. In selling to us and joining our company, Mr. Miraglia sought to provide his clients and himself with greater resources, increased clout with insurance companies, superior servicing capabilities and the enhanced support that Brown & Brown makes available to its customers and sales executives. Additionally, Mr. Miraglia believes his clients will benefit greatly from Brown & Brown’s strong (property / casualty) commercial insurance, surety bond, and (personal lines) home, automobile and (individual) disability and life insurance capabilities.

Mr. Miraglia graduated from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland with a B.S. in biology and an ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate designation. In June of 1958, he began his commitment to the US Army as an 2nd Lieutenant and served three years with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

He is a licensed Group Employee Benefits, Life, Health, HMO and Disability broker in Texas and a number of other states.
