As a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Masters Degree in Marketing Research and a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Ms. Gourgues began her insurance carrier in 1993 with United Employers Insurance Agency, Inc.  At the time, United Employers specialized in only commercial Property and Casualty insurance. While at United Employers, Ms. Gourgues was asked to build and lead the company’s group Employee Benefits practice which she expanded from scratch to represent more than 21% of the agency’s revenue (and over half its profit) prior to its acquisition by Brown & Brown in 2007.  Upon joining Brown & Brown of Texas, Inc., Ms. Gourgues assumed leadership of our company’s Specialty Program Division which includes our Fertility Insurance Program® offering insurance products that insure the financial risks of infertility treatment and our Dental Practice Insurance Program® which provides discounted and customized professional liability and commercial insurance to dentists, their practices and staff.

Ms. Gourgues is a driven, competitive and detail oriented professional who takes great satisfaction in providing her customers with superior service and creative, money saving ideas. Her expertise includes developing unique self-funded plan designs as well as fully insured programs.

She is a licensed in Life, Accident, Health & HMO, Disability, Annuity, Property, Casualty and Group Employee Benefits insurance professional. In addition, Ms. Gourgues holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Employee Benefits Specialist (EBS) professional designations.
